No Reservations: 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Orders Reopen

3. The automaker began taking reservations for the electric F-150 in May 2021 but stopped in December after booking 200,000 reservations.

5. An F-150 Lightning battery pack ignited while a truck awaited delivery in February.

6. Reservations are over, and anyone can log on to Ford’s site or interact with a human at a dealership.

7. A lesser subplot of the last two years has been Ford increasing production capacity for the Lightning.

8. The automaker is targeting the ability to build 150,000 trucks annually by the fall of 2023.

9. Buyers will still have to wait to take delivery of their new trucks.

10. They no longer have to wait to pick out their configuration and options.
