2. At 11,000 G-Wagens per year, it's an exclusive 4x4 icon compared to the Ford F-Series.

3. The G-Wagen is one of the longest-produced vehicles in Mercedes-Benz history.

4. A special one-off G-Wagen celebrates the production milestone, paying homage to vintage models.

5. The anniversary edition features agave green exterior paint, a classic color for the G-Class.

6. Other retro touches include orange-hued turn signals, a larger Mercedes star, and plaid seats.

7. The passenger side grab handle has a special reminder reading "No. 500,000."

8. The G-Class will reach its 45th production anniversary in 2024.

9. An all-electric variant, the EQG-Class, will be sold alongside gasoline V-8 versions.
